Sterling & Sterling names new president

New York-based Sterling & Sterling has named Leslie Nylund as its new president.

In her role, Nylund will be responsible for the firm's operations, including sales, employee benefits, client services and senior carrier relationships.

She will also oversee Sterling's field offices in New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, Utah and Los Angeles.

Nylund will report directly to David Sterling, chairman & CEO of Sterling & Sterling.

Previously, Nylund served as vice chair of Sterling & Sterling and also spent 18 years at Marsh as a managing director.

Nylund joined Sterling & Sterling from Willis where she served in a number of leadership roles including Willis North America's New York Metro region head.

Sterling said that having spent more than 20 years with some of the largest brokerages in America, Leslie has been a powerhouse in the industry and brings to the table a tireless commitment to her craft.
